Superior Pulmonary Sulcus (Pancoast) Tumor: Historical Aspect, Terms and Definitions

В статье описываются этапы формирования современных представлений об опухоли Панкоста (Pancoast tumor), клинически проявляющейся болевым синдромом и глазными расстройствами. Утвердившийся эпоним синдрома включает имя американского рентгенолога Г.К. (H.K. Pancoast), подробно описавшего клинико-рентгенологическую семиотику давшего ей название «опухоль верхней легочной борозды» ("superior pulmonary sulcus tumor", англ.) в 1924 1936 годах. Несмотря на почти 100 лет, прошедших с этого времени, правомочность названия, анатомический аспект, органное происхождение опухоли, ее гистогенез особенности клинического течения являются предметом дискуссии до настоящего времени. Исторический приоритет описания принадлежит английского хирургу Э.С. Хэйру (E.S. Hare), однако его открытие стало широко известным уже после того, как возник эпоним, связанный именем Панкоста. До времени научных публикациях встречаются заблуждения относительно концепции этой названия – борозды».
